The guernsey jumper was originally created by the wearer’s family for protection and practicality out of necessity and love – an ethos that we continue to this day.
Original guernsey jumpers were traditionally knitted using worsted wool, something that Le Tricoteur still follows to this day. Worsted wool’s longer, stronger fibres give a tighter knit, making our guernseys warm and capable of keeping out the elements, while retaining shape.
