One of A Kind Guernseys
This is a strictly limited edition range of guernseys. Only Nine pieces have been knitted in the past 4 years.
We have named these the O.A.K range as they are completely "One of A Kind" with the colours appearing in the whim of the moment.
Discovered by chance when evaluating our waste & remnants, we found that our Head Technician has to occasionally "push" through a body or sleeve piece when coming to the end of a run. He uses only leftover yarn and the resulting knit is a glorious combination of multicoloured 100% British worsted wool. Each of our vintage flatbed machines is hand set and Ian meticulously sets and tests each size. It is no simple push of a button.
These pieces were sorted, matched and handed over to our Knitting teacher Carol Le Prevost. She then knitted the necks and shoulders using pieces backwinded by hand.
We hope to repeat these at a later date but only when the pieces have naturally presented themselves as a by-product of our ancient machines & Ian's happenstance spark of creativity.
