Delivery

Important Shipping and Returns Notice Coronavirus-19 update

We are currently operating Ecommerce despatches as normal.

Guernsey is operating on a C19 free basis but supply chain to / or within your destination country may still be affected

You will get your order, but it may take longer than normal. It also depends on your local delivery service.  Please contact your local delivery depot if there is a delay that you were not expecting as they may have forgotten to leave a failed delivery card.

Please bear with us as the world adapts to the changing situation that is out of our control.

Shipping

Delivery charges and timescales vary depending on the number of products ordered, the service you select and the delivery address. You’ll find full details of our delivery charges under the ‘Delivery’ section of our website. 

Delivery & dispatches:

We aim to pick & despatch all orders within 24 hours of receiving your order.

Please refer to the Delivery section of our website for more details.

There are various options through courier companies for re-arranging delivery if the first attempt has not been successful.  You are advised to select the option for delivery which allows you or someone else to be at your address to sign for your package if you are not going to be there, to avoid the need for re-delivery where possible.

Please note that certain delivery options may be subject to alternative delivery charges, restrictions and or timescales. If delivery cannot be made to a customer due to the customer not being present at the address at the time allotted by the carrier, or if any customer refuses to accept the products on delivery, Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd reserves the right to charge the cost for returning products to the relevant Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd returns centre for the order.

Holiday deliveries:

Please note during national holiday periods (Easter / Christmas / Bank Holidays) delivery and dispatch will be slower. Our warehouse and all Courier services also deserve a break with their families and often we rely on a skeleton staff of eager beavers.

Delivery areas:

Products purchased on the Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd site may only be delivered to the following areas:

Mainland United Kingdom, Non-Mainland United Kingdom, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and most ROW countries. If we encounter and shipping issues due to local supply chain disruption we will contact you using the email you have submitted as your contact email.

Non delivery to PO boxes or DX addresses:

For security reasons, Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd shall not process any order for which a general delivery address, a P.O. box, or a DX address is given.

Compliance with delivery address provided:

All Products will be shipped to the delivery address specified when placing your order.

Shipping cost calculation & method:

Shipping costs are calculated on the basis of the products selected, the weight and dimensions of the package, the total value of your order, the shipping region and method and speed selected. For specific regional delivery costs and speed options available, please refer to the ”Delivery” section of our website. 

Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd reserves the right to divide your order into several shipments. Your credit, debit card or Paypal account shall then be charged accordingly to correspond to the price of Products actually shipped.

Delivery Problems

Failure to deliver:

Any failure to deliver, or very late delivery far exceeding expected delivery times during fine weather must be reported to our Customer service team as soon as possible.

No claims notified to us more than thirty (30) calendar days from the date of confirmation of your order will be taken into account.

This does not include missed attempted deliveries 

Where the supply of your product(s) is delayed or prevented for reasons beyond our control (for example; higher than anticipated demand / or customer error in delivery address / or we have had all freight cut off due to bad weather – we are a small island after all, with no road services linking us to the mainland) we will make every effort to keep you informed but shall be under no liability to you for such delay or failure. For the avoidance of doubt, this paragraph does not exclude or effect in any way any statutory right that you have to cancel an order when a product is delayed or not provided.

We offer a range of services including Standard Delivery (untracked) / and DHL courier services that includes tracking*

Standard Delivery (NOT TRACKED - buyer is responsible for lost items that we have proved to despatch from our contract records with Guernsey post) is only applicable in the UK, Isle of Man, Guernsey & Jersey and can be used for all items 

DHL is the other safer option

Standard Delivery (NOT TRACKED - buyer is responsible for lost items that we have proved to despatch from our contract records with Guernsey post) can be used for small items like accessories for ROW

ROW uses DHL only for all garments 

For all deliveries, we offer a door-to-door service and there must be someone at the address in normal working hours to receive the delivery. Sometimes a work address is a better option for this reason.

We will deliver the package to the address but not person-to-person, so please guarantee a trusted person will be there to receive the package.

Despatch & Transit times

Please note that as Guernsey is an island with no road connection (Sea or Air only) Despatch off the island and onward transit times are subject to the vagaries of changeable weather.

Standard Delivery NOT TRACKED  (UK,  Isle of Man, Guernsey & Jersey), at buyer's risk

- free up to a kilo (e.g. hat, scarf and child's guernsey etc )

- up to 2 kilos is £8 (e.g. adult guernsey + accessory etc)

- 2-5 kilos is £20 (you may want to consider DHL for larger orders as it is tracked) 

DHL TRACKED (UK,  Isle of Man, Guernsey & Jersey)

- up to a kilo is £12.50 (e.g. hat, scarf and child's guernsey etc )

- up to 2 kilos is £17.50 (e.g. adult guernsey + accessory etc)

- 2-5 kilos is £25 (worth the peace of mind in our opinion) 

Standard Delivery NOT TRACKED (EU) for accessories ONLY, at buyer's risk

- up to a 0.5 kilo is £5 (e.g. hat, scarf) 

DHL TRACKED (EU) 

- up to a kilo is £20 (e.g. hat, scarf and child's guernsey etc )

- up to 2 kilos is £30 (e.g. adult guernsey + accessory etc)

- up to 3 kilos is £35 

Standard Delivery NOT TRACKED (USA & CANADA) for accessories ONLY, at buyer's risk

- up to a 0.5 kilo is £10 (e.g. hat, scarf) 

DHL TRACKED  (USA) 

- up to a kilo is £30 (e.g. hat, scarf and child's guernsey etc )

- up to 2 kilos is £35 (e.g. adult guernsey + accessory etc)

- up to 2.5 kilos is £40

- up to 4 kilos is £45

- up to 5 kilos is £45 

DHL TRACKED  (CANADA) 

- up to a 0.5 kilo is £30 (e.g. hat, scarf) 

- up to 1 kilos is £35 (e.g. a child's guernsey etc )

- up to 2.5 kilos is £40 (e.g. adult guernsey + accessory etc)

- up to 3.5 kilos is £45

- up to 5 kilos is £50 

Standard Delivery NOT TRACKED (AUSTRALIA & NZ)  for accessories ONLY, at buyer's risk

- up to a 0.5 kilo is £10 (e.g. hat, scarf) 

DHL TRACKED (AUSTRALIA & NZ) 

- up to a 0.5 kilo is £30 (e.g. hat, scarf) 

- up to 1 kilos is £35 (e.g. a child's guernsey etc )

- up to 2.5 kilos is £40 (e.g. adult guernsey + accessory etc)

- up to 3.5 kilos is £45

- up to 5 kilos is £50 

Standard Delivery NOT TRACKED (ROW : SOUTH KOREA, HONG KONG, JAPAN)  for accessories ONLY, at buyer's risk

- up to a 0.5 kilo is £10 (e.g. hat, scarf) 

DHL TRACKED (ROW : SOUTH KOREA, HONG KONG, JAPAN) 

- up to a 0.5 kilo is £30 (e.g. hat, scarf) 

- up to 1 kilos is £35 (e.g. a child's guernsey etc )

- up to 2.5 kilos is £40 (e.g. adult guernsey + accessory etc)

- up to 3.5 kilos is £45

- up to 5 kilos is £50 

Final costs will be worked out at checkout dependent on postcode / address / weight / dims. Should you be purchasing many items we may be in touch for additional chargeable postage and / or offer a more cost effective way to get your items to you.

Tax on Prices:

All product prices include VAT or Sales Tax in regions where Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd has reached local Tax thresholds. This will be automatically calculated and shown on the Site you are viewing. 

Shipping is quoted exclusive of VAT or Sales Tax and has VAT or Sales Tax added into the total before order completion if Sales Tax is applicable to the region the order is being placed from (see above) At this point in our business we only collect TAX for the UK so local rates will apply when you collect.

Currently all UK orders have VAT included

EU & ROW Customers are responsible for paying their own Local Taxes & Duty where Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd has not reached local Tax thresholds.

Le Tricoteur Guernsey Ltd  does not accept responsibility for items being delayed through customs / security checks, adverse weather conditions or postal strikes.

If you do not collect your item or refuse to pay local duty & taxes and DHL return items to us, we will refund the original invoice MINUS the return fee levied to us. This can be anything from around £35 per item or more.
